Developing interventions to support pediatric cancer treatment communication, decision-making, and short- and long-term quality of life.
The majority of children diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. today will become long-term survivors. However, the intensity of cancer treatment comes with many short- and long-term side effects that impact health and quality of life. Our lab is focused on understanding the patient’s experience of treatment in the short- and long-term, and on using this information to help future families make treatment decisions and better understand what to expect from treatment and survivorship.
